01 · The challenge

Hiring was breaking — and it wasn’t the recruiters’ fault

We spoke with recruiters, hiring managers and candidates across 40+ companies. The same three problems came up again and again. Intrya was our answer to all of them at once.

Recruiters drowning in first-round screens

Hiring teams were spending 23+ hours per recruiter per week on repetitive phone screens, most of which ended in “not a fit”. Senior recruiters were stuck doing junior work.

Inconsistent, unscorable interviews

Different interviewers asked different questions. Hiring decisions hinged on whoever conducted the call — not on a defensible, comparable signal.

No way to trust asynchronous interviews

Existing async-interview tools had zero integrity layer. Candidates could paste from ChatGPT, hand off mid-interview, or have someone else answer — undetected.

We didn’t want to ship another async-video tool. We wanted an interviewer that was fair, deep and trustworthy — in that order.
